The teaser trailer for Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is out.
I firmly believe that this film is going to bomb. I’m not sure that those inside the insular comic book world realize just how stupid the concept of the Silver Surfer is. Try explaining it to your wife or girlfriend: he’s a silver man from space who rides a silver surfboard. They’ll laugh til they cry.

i’m not sure how long you have been a fan of marvel’s ff, but i’ve been following the comic since day one, and i believe you are wrong. it has taken marvel a really long time to get their superheroes represented properly ( ie the spiderman live action tv show, and also the incredible hulk live action show, and i don’t even want to mention the original ff and captain america movies which were so bad, they didn’t even make it to vhs release, let alone into theaters. the recent releases of spidey, x-men, hulk (hey, i liked it!) and ff are great and true to the origins (with some artistic hollywood license allowed). spidey 3 trailer looks awesome, ghost rider looks hot (no pun intended), and the new ff trailer looks great. for the same reason i chose to read marvel comics over dc comics back in the day (the 60’s), i like the marvel heroes and movies better than the dc movies. cut marvel some slack, and remember, spiderman 1 holds box office records yet to be broken. nuff said! and excelsior!
