Lost Girls vs. Lost Boys

June 29th, 2006 · by jdroth · No Comments

Boing Boing has a roundup of the controversy over Alan Moore’s upcoming Lost Girls (which was actually begun over ten years ago). Moore imagines three female heroines of fiction — from Wonderland, Neverland, and Oz — setting off together on a series of sexual adventures. Pornography or art? It’s an age-old question.

The London hospital that owns the rights to J.M. Barrie’s “Peter Pan” story is upset that Moore appropriated the iconic character Wendy for the graphic novel.

It’ll be interesting to see where this goes.

(Several preview pages from the upcoming book have been posted at tiny nibbles.)
